2019 Summer Data Immersion Program

Modeling Cognitive Aging in Context

Congratulations to all the applicants who have been invited to participate in the 2019 Summer Data Immersion program.

Please let us know by April 12, 2019 if you plan to attend. You can email mccfad.isr@umich.edu to let us know if you will or won’t be attending.

In the coming weeks, you will receive descriptions of the individual workgroups that will make up the majority of this program, and you will be asked to express your workgroup preferences by the deadline noted in that correspondence. You will also receive detailed instructions for obtaining permissions to access the conference datasets, which will need to be in place prior to the start of the program.

We have limited funding to support this program from a grant from the National Institute on Aging (P30 AG059300. Please see below for information on costs and reimbursement.

Meals

We will provide all meals over the course of the workshop (June 10-13) for all attendees.

Lodging

For attendees traveling to Ann Arbor, we will provide up to 5 nights lodging on the UM campus in single-occupancy rooms within the North Quadrangle building (https://housing.umich.edu/residence-hall/north-quadrangle/), which is a short walk from the Institute for Social Research.

Transportation

For attendees flying to Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW):

We will provide a flat rate of $500 for airfare. Attendees will receive a check during the program.

We will also arrange for ground transportation from DTW to Ann Arbor via the Michigan Flyer (https://www.michiganflyer.com/). Please note that the Michigan Flyer drop-off point in Ann Arbor is a short walk from the North Quadrangle building, where accommodations will be provided.


For attendees driving to Ann Arbor:

We will provide a flat rate of $150 for mileage and parking. Attendees will receive a check during the program. Parking is available in the Maynard structure (324 Maynard) at a daily rate of $15 (free on Sunday).

The Michigan Center for Contextual Factors in Alzheimer’s Disease (MCCFAD) is accepting AD-RCMAR Research Scientist Enrichment Program Applications for FY 2019-2020. This is research career enrichment program involving seminar participation and mentoring in AD-relevant research.
